Kate EM Vohs is an 18 year old singer, actress, and songwriter. She was born in Central Pennsylvania and now studies Musical Theatre at Marymount Manhattan College in New York City. She began performing at the age of four, and grew up in a series of acting and dance classes, voice lessons, and studios of various kinds. Through her consistency and dedication to her art, she found that she could persevere through difficult times. With the help of dedicated teachers and hours of work, Kate was able to not only find herself again after a traumatic experience, but to grow.
While and after being abused as a child, Kate found purpose and joy through performing, when she had lost both. As she healed through the arts, she wanted to help others do the same. The performing arts and her love and dedication to them saved her life, something she knew it could do for others. She founded the Kate Vohs Foundation when she was 15, in March of 2019 to provide scholarships to performing arts programs to allow them to heal and pursue their dreams as she did.
Kate became a two time Best Young Actress Award winner in Central PA from Broadway World in 2017 and 2018, as well as the Best Actress winner in 2018. She performed at many theaters in Central Pennsylvania, as well as several benefits and events in New York City at the famous Feinstein’s 54 Below venue as well as the comedy club Carolines On Broadway. She was also a performer at the Shine event in Central Park, where she sang for over 300,000 people as well as the event being televised after the Stoneman Douglas Shooting High School in 2018.
